FIELD: electroplating, namely electrochemical application of protective coatings of tin-zinc alloy.
SUBSTANCE: electrolyte contains, mol/l: tin sulfate, 0.087 - 0.094; zinc sulfate, 0.07 - 0.09; citric acid, 0.32 - 0.34; alkali metal citrate, 0.66 - 0.69; preparation OC-20, 0.7 - 0.92 g/l; diphenylamine, 0.25 - 0.35 g/l. Invention provides possibility for applying semi-bright coatings of tin-zinc alloy (30 - 17%) having corrosion resistance exceeding by 1.2 times corrosion resistance of zinc coatings. Presence of diphenylamine in composition of electrolyte allows eliminate ammonium ions offering bad influence upon fauna of water basins whose sewage is difficult to clean.
EFFECT: stable composition of alloy, enhanced ecology of process, improved corrosion resistance of coating.
