FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to plating tin-zinc alloy with a zinc content in the alloy is 20-80%, and can be used for protective coatings, including an alternative form of cadmium coatings. The method includes alloy electrodeposition from an electrolyte containing tin tetrachloride, zinc oxide and water, at a cathodic current density of 0.5-1.5 A/dm2, Wherein electrodeposition is carried out using inert anodes from the electrolyte containing tin tetrachloride 30 g/l (calculated as tin), zinc oxide 2.5 g/l (calculated as zinc), lactic acid (80% solution) 50 ml/l at pH 2.5, and electrolyte temperature 20-25°C.
EFFECT: obtaining uniform, semi-bright, good adhesion to the substrate surfaces with high current output.
