SUBSTANCE: proposed device has power contacts, electromagnetic operating mechanism, arc-control chamber, magnetic blowout coil, off-line power supply, and current sensor for determining magnitude and direction of main load current. Novelty is that diagnosing unit and information unit are newly introduced in device and that power contacts, magnetic blowout coil, and current sensor are interconnected in series and series-connected to load, that power contacts and current sensor are connected to DC supply mains, and that diagnosing unit can find information about trouble in current sensor, off-line power supply, or load and generate load disconnection signal.

EFFECT: enhanced operating reliability of device.
