LID FOR STORAGE CELL FILLED WITH LIQUID ELECTROLYTE AND RELEVANT STORAGE CELL Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC H01M2/04 H01M10/12

Abstract RU 2313856 C2

FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: proposed invention is concerned with storage-cell lid 2, 200, 201, 203, 204 and storage cell 1, 100, 101, 102, 103, 104. Novelty is that lid or storage cell has valve unit 9 provided with inlet port 10 communicating with cell compartments 5 and outlet port 11 communicating with surrounding atmosphere A. Valve unit is designed to prevent leakage of electrolyte E from compartments 5 and enables escape of gases formed within storage cell 1, 100, 101, 102, 103, 104 when pressure within compartment exceeds predetermined value.

EFFECT: improved mechanical design of valve unit.
