FIELD: method for molding glass or glass ceramics, mainly for making substrates for mirrors.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of making glass ceramics supporting mold 12 by casting initial glass that transforms at heat treatment to keatite type glass ceramics with prevailing phase of mixed keatite crystals. With use of such supporting mold 12 its is possible to make molded articles due to deforming blank 14 by gravity for descending it onto said mold at temperature exceeding that of phase conversion of material of blank. Method provides heat resistance of articles increased up to 1000°C.
EFFECT: improved heat resistance of molded articles.
