CRUMPLES PREVENTING ATTACHMENT FOR HAND-HELD IRON Russian patent published in 2008 - IPC D06F75/00 

FIELD: hand-held ironing equipment with crumples preventing facilities.

SUBSTANCE: iron has wheels arranged beyond perimeter of iron sole and mounted on flexible pins adapted for transmitting rotation to wheels from electric motor drive shaft. Flexible pins are held in attachments spring-loaded through flexible holders on iron body. There are switches on spring-loaded holders, which are adapted for switching-on and supplying energy of electric motors of respective pins upon spring-loading of holders. Rim of wheels is positioned below base of ironing surface. Apparatus for controlling rotation of electric motors applies peak loading to electric motors upon turning on of switch. Device for controlled actuation of wheels provides pressing of wheel to surface under ironing process and is connected to device which defines running of iron over surface under ironing process.

EFFECT: improved ironing quality due to stretching of cloth under ironing process in front of iron sole.
