FIELD: antenna engineering; transmitting antennas operating in very-low-, low-, and medium-frequency bands.
SUBSTANCE: proposed subsurface antenna has N≥2 radiators connected to coaxial feeder and mounted in boreholes made in earth hill mass parallel to its slopes. Each reflector is made in the form of coaxial cable section with cut made in its center covered with screening shield. Top ends of radiators are electrically interconnected and bottom ones are connected in parallel with coaxial feeder by means of additional coaxial-cable sections. Total quantity of radiators N equals even number.
EFFECT: enhanced gain due to reduced concentration of nearby reactance-coupled electromagnetic field, reduced loss into semiconducting medium around antenna.
