FIELD: medical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: device has silicon tube member having proximal end, distal end and lumen giving way for feeding air through the tube member from proximal to distal end. The first and the second zones are available on the tube member. At least a part of the first zone has the first external diameter. The second zone has the second external diameter. The first external diameter is less than the second one. The first and the second zones are adjacent to each other and are introducible into patient trachea. Silicon collar is attached to the tube member and takes at least a part of the first zone. The silicon collar is mounted in a way that, when being pumped, it enables pressure in the trachea to reach value, corresponding to flat segment of characteristic curve, earlier than annular collar makes contact with internal trachea wall.
EFFECT: high accuracy in exactly determining pressure exerted by collar upon internal trachea wall.
