FIELD: powder metallurgy, namely iron base powder composition.

SUBSTANCE: metallurgical composition for making pressed parts contains at least 80 mass% of iron powder or iron base powder; at least one alloying powder; 0.05 - 2 mass% of compound of lubricating binder of polyethylene wax and bis-stearamide. Polyethylene wax has mean molecular mass approximately less than 1000 and melting temperature less than that of ethylene bis-stearamide; compound of lubricating binder contains 10 - 90 mass% of polyethylene wax. Composition is prepared by mixing and heating iron powder or iron base powder, powder of alloying element, ethylene bis-stearamide, powder of polyethylene wax and if necessary fatty acid and then cooling prepared mixture. Heating is realized till temperature higher than melting temperature of polyethylene wax and lower than melting temperature of ethylene bis-stearamide. Cooling is realized till temperature lower than melting temperature of polyethylene wax.

EFFECT: increased bulk density, good fluidity, low segregation and dust formation of composition.
