FIELD: machine engineering, namely mechanical means for holding self-aligning segments inside segment type bearing assembly.
SUBSTANCE: bearing assembly includes outer carrying body, several self-aligning segments held inside outer carrying body and respective number of pins for holding self-aligning segments in predetermined circumferential positions. Each pin is fixed in outer carrying body for resting upon lateral surface of cavity in respective self-aligning segment. At least one holding pin and respective cavity have such shape that at using assembly, gap in plane crossing axis of bearing assembly between holding pin and lateral surface of cavity is less in first location practically arranged on inner surface of carrying body than in all respective locations in lateral surface portions placed along radiuses more inside relative to first location. Contact point between holding pin and self-aligning segment is arranged at using assembly, practically on inner surface of outer carrying body. Self-aligning segment is made with possibility of inclination, practically without motion along circle of outer carrying body.
EFFECT: reduced sliding action, lowered fretting wear degree.
