FIELD: measuring equipment, particularly to determine stress concentration zones in building structures at repeated cyclic loads applied thereto.
SUBSTANCE: method involves stabilizing thermal building structure characteristics before cyclic loading thereof; measuring thermal field in building structure during cyclic building structure loading by means of thermal imaging apparatus along with passive thermal stimulation of object to be investigated. First of all imaging is carried out as separate views and then as continuous shooting on approaching to fatigue failure regime to create topographic film and following obtained thermogram analyzing and processing. Stress concentration zones in building structures correspond to abnormal thermogram zones with at least 0.3°C temperature increase, which are sharp against the thermograms.
EFFECT: increased accuracy and decreased labor inputs for stress concentration zone determination.
