FIELD: investigating or analyzing of materials.

SUBSTANCE: method comprises heating and cooling the material in the vicinity to the agent that forms a closed space. The material is heated by setting a heater in it. The heat insulation properties are judged by determining mean power of heat exchange in the material layer. The device comprises member that receives the temperature control unit, temperature gage, pump, unit for control of temperature, and unit for measuring mean power of heat release. The heater, pump, and temperature gage are mounted inside the temperature control unit. The temperature gage is connected with the unit for measuring the mean power of heat release.
