FIELD: instrumentation engineering; power systems for beam-research physical and process installations with power, for microwave generator instruments such as klystrons, traveling- and return-wave tubes, magnetrons, gyrotrons, and the like.

SUBSTANCE: proposed high-voltage power supply system has power supply, protective switching unit, and control system. Power supply system has primary power supply, high-voltage transformer, rectifier, and filter. High-voltage transformer output is connected to input of rectifier whose output is connected to filter input. First bus of power supply is connected to one of inputs of protective switching unit whose other input is connected to output of control system; additionally introduced in the latter are current sensor, voltage sensor, and tracking circuit. Newly introduced in power supply are two resonance-tuned bridge converters , one high-frequency transformer, one rectifier, and one filter.

EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of control and protection for system and load connected thereto.
