FIELD: power engineering, possible use at aerial electric transmission lines and fiber-optic communication lines as tension clamps for attaching wires/cables to anchoring supports.
SUBSTANCE: the clamp consists of two U-like strands (lower one and upper one) of wire spirals. Each strand has two branches and one hinge or; eyelets are inserted into hinges, respectively. Eyelets are attached to balancing beam by means of joint tractions of different lengths, which are attached to short and long shoulders of the beam, the top point of the beam is attached to anchoring line support through a bracket. Number of wires and diameter are different in each strand, and their coiling angles α1, α2 are determined from formula α1/α2=1÷3,5; where upper strand is shifted during assembly towards the line run relatively to lower strand for 0,5÷2 of coiling step. Due to shifting of strands relatively to each other, maximal compressing forces which are caused during operation of the clamp on lines by effect of applied stretching load are significantly less compared to known helical tension clamps.
EFFECT: claimed design of helical tension clamp is characterized by high reliability during operation and low weight characteristics; the clamp passed mechanical testing and was launched into serial production.
