FIELD: plasma electronics, in particular, production of dense high temperature plasma during radial implosion of liner system in Z-pinch configuration, possible use for designing devices for generation of powerful x-ray radiation impulses, during research of substance state equations, radiation runs, transfer of radiation in complex geometries, properties of non-equilibrium plasma, etc, during research in plasma physics at high energy densities.

SUBSTANCE: in accordance to the invention, impulse power supply is connected to two electrodes, mounted in vacuum chamber at a distance from each other. Between them, axial-symmetric liner cascade is positioned, which contains a system of electro-conductive elements with swirling angle φ1 relatively to cascade axis. On another diameter between electrodes at least one liner cascade is positioned coaxially, which contains a system of current-conductive elements with opposite swirling angle φ2. Electro-conductive elements are made rectilinear or helical of wires, foil, in form of metallic layer sprayed onto substrate or combination of these. Swirling angle of electro-conductive elements in one cascade is equal to 0<φ1≤60, and in another cascade - 60≤φ2<0.

EFFECT: increased temperature and density of plasma.
