FIELD: medicine, oncosurgery.
SUBSTANCE: on removing the affected lobe of thyroid gland with isthmus it is necessary to make a longitudinal cut along resection line of the rest healthy lobe of thyroid gland. This cut should be urgently sent for histological trial, at detecting the complexes of cancer cells in the cut it is important to fulfill radical operation, the removal of the rest lobe of thyroid gland. In case of no tumor cells and macroscopic pathological alterations along resection line it is necessary to carry out revision and suture in the surgical wound. The innovation enables to choose the volume of surgical interference and decrease the number of post-surgical complications.
EFFECT: higher efficiency and accuracy of detection.
