SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with prosthetics of knee joint at defect-niche at articular surface. The method includes transverse osteotomy of articular tibial surface to form a longitudinal canal there, the resection of articular femoral surfaces, application of osseous cement onto internal surfaces of the components of knee joint prosthesis and onto resected femoral and tibial surfaces to apply the prosthesis components on them supplied with a connection between them. Moreover, in case of the defect-niche in the bone after resecting its articular part it is necessary at first to introduce an explant out of porous titanium nickelide into osseous defect, moreover this explant is designed to have flat surface and wedge-shaped from at its opposite side. The size of explant's surface does not exceed the defect's area, and the height of its wedge-shaped part is larger against the defect's depth. The explant should be introduced with its wedge-shaped part into osseous defect to achieve the congruence of its upper surface and the surface of the bone being near defect's edge, then it is important to apply the layer of osseous cement onto the explant. The innovation provides tougher fixation of the explant and increases the strength of the support for the endoprosthesis.
