FIELD: waste water treatment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processes of treating waste waters in petroleum, petrochemical, metallurgical, and other industries, car wash effluents, and storm flows from motor highways to remove such impurities as petroleum products, surfactants, colloidal substances, mineral-origin particles, and the like. Effluent to be cleaned is first subjected to preliminary treatment to remove coarse impurities (granulated slurries, sand, clay, free hydrocarbons of surface films, mechanical emulsions of petroleum products, garbage, and the like). Waste water together with reagent is then exposed to acoustic field under developed cavitation conditions, after which reagent flotation process at acoustic vibration intensity 1-3 W/cm2 is performed followed by filtration cleaning of water.
EFFECT: enhanced cleaning efficiency and reduced consumption of reagents.
