FIELD: medicine, urology, oncology.
SUBSTANCE: one should introduce a photosensitizer into urinary bladder, then it is necessary to carry out fluorescent cystoscopy. Moreover, it is important to detect the areas of urinary bladder's mucosa being red-fluorescent at the background of total blue color. Then each red-fluorescent area should be studied due to the technique of optic coherent tomography (OCT). In case of distinct three layers, urothelium, submucous layer, muscular layer, at high-contrast borders between the layers on OCT-picture one should detect such an area not to be resection-relevant. In case of no layers or indistinct three layers at low-contrast border between urothelium and submucous layer on OCT-picture this area should be considered to be resection-relevant. Such diagnostics enables to considerably decrease the quantity of pseudo-positive results in detecting neoplasia and, thus, maximally saves healthy tissue due to adequate estimation of resection volume.
EFFECT: higher efficiency.
