FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to urology and radiotherapy. Urinary bladder is examined by method of cross-polarisation optic coherent tomography (CP OCT) before beginning of radiotherapy and 1 time a week in the course of radiotherapy, CP OCT-scanning being performed in three zones: posterior wall of urinary bladder, vesical triangle and neck of urinary bladder, and if at least in one zone observed is reduction of signal intensity in orthogonal polarisation in subepithelial structures, beginning of radio changes is diagnosed and weekly monitoring is stopped.
EFFECT: method allows to estimate objectively in real time degree of radioreaction of both urothelium and subepithelial structures of urinary bladder at early terms of radiotherapy by means of non-invasive, non-traumatic and fast examination, determined are concrete changes on CP OCT-images and terms of their occurrence, which can serve as criteria of initial manifestations of radioreaction by urinary bladder mucosa.
