FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to perinatology, neonatology, pediatric neurology, and can be used for antenatal prediction of hypoxic-ischemic cerebral disorders in a newborn with a gestational age of 36–40 weeks. Doppler measurement of uterine arteries is performed to determine the following values: Pi AUD is the right uterine artery pulsation index, Pi AUS—pulsation index of left uterine artery and Pi ACM—pulsation index of middle cerebral artery. If 0.645 ≤ Pi AUD ≤ 0.695 or Pi AUD ≤ 0.425, while Pi ACM> 1.755, then moderate hypoxic-ischemic brain damage is predicted. If 0.425 <Pi AUD <0.645, while Pi AUS > 0.860, then severe hypoxic-ischemic brain damage is predicted.
EFFECT: method enables to predict with high accuracy the development and severity of perinatal hypoxic-ischemic CNS lesions, provide early diagnosis of cerebral pathology and select the correct approach to pregnant women and delivery by evaluating pulsation indices.
