FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves exposing cornea to Yb:Er laser radiation all over the cornea area. Pancorneal laser coagulation is carried out in several sessions, treating one coagulate ring each session. Coagulate diameter is 0.1-0.3 mm with distance between the rings equal to their diameters and pulse power density equal to 15-18 J/cm2 with 2 ms duration. Intersession pause is to 7 days long.
EFFECT: uniform load distribution over eye cornea; eliminated corneal syndrome.
