FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves carrying out laser thermokeratoplasty operation with yttrium-erbium glass laser radiation of 1.54 mcm wavelength being used with power of 150-161 mJ/cm2 and laser spot diameter of 200-300 mcm. The treatment is carried out at the ectasia place and/or on weak axis outside of transplant zone.
EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness in strengthening cornea; increased vision acuity; reduced risk of traumatic complications.
