FIELD: warming surfaces of liquid melts.
SUBSTANCE: heat insulation mixture contains 60 -70 mass% of organic component such as mixture of cereal crop husk except rice, of sunflower, wooden dust or fine chips. Such organic component is agitated in fluid-tight mixing reactor and it is humidified by means of steam or water mist. Then in mixing reactor CaO in quantity 10 - 15 mass% is fed for agitating it for 15 min. Ca(OH)2 generated at reaction with water settles on surfaces of particles of organic component and penetrates into their pores. In the result combustion rate of heat insulation mixture in zone of its contact with liquid melt becomes slower. At elevation of temperature in reaction zone till 100°C and more and at occurring of excess pressure, 10 mass% of CaO, 1.5 - 2.5 mass% of bauxite and 10 - 11 mass% of silica are added and agitated for 20 min.
EFFECT: reduced consumption of heat insulation mixture, enhanced stability of chemical content of melt.
