FIELD: transport engineering; traction drives.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used on electric vehicles with dc motors supplied from ac generators. Proposed device contains traction synchronous generator with two stator three-phase windings set into rotation by heat engine, to three-phase windings of which controlled bridge rectifiers are connected in number of dc traction series-wound motors pf vehicle electric drive, each of which being connected by armature winding and field winding through switching elements of field windings with output of its controlled rectifier. Brake resistors are connected in parallel to windings of electric motor armatures through isolating diodes and switching elements. Isolating diodes are connected with plus buses of controlled bridge rectifiers, and equalizing brake resistor is connected in series with each isolating diode, each resistor being connected with one common input of main brake resistor. Other input of main brake resistor is connected, through other additional equalizing brake resistors and switching elements, with winding of armatures of traction electric motors. Field windings of traction electric motors are series-connected through switching elements and are connected through switching elements and are connected to output of one of controlled bridge rectifiers.
EFFECT: increased traction properties of vehicle.
