FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to traction drives and can be used at transport facilities using DC motors fed by AC generated via controlled rectifiers. Proposed device comprises traction induction generator driven by heat engine and having two stator three-phase windings whereto controlled bridge rectifiers are connected in compliance with the number of DC motors with series excitation. Braking resistors are connected in parallel to traction motor armature windings via separating diodes and switching elements, that is, main resistor and extra balancing braking resistor. Note here that one of common inputs of the main braking resistor is connected, via other balancing braking resistors and switching elements, to traction motor armature windings. Excitation windings of said motors are connected, via switching elements, in series and to output of the controlled bridge rectifiers. Said extra balancing braking resistors are connected via detachable jumpers to negative busses of aforesaid bridge rectifiers.
EFFECT: simplified braking circuit.
