FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to traction electric drives and may be used in electric transport means with DC motors powered from DC generator. Traction drive contains rotated by thermal engine traction synchronous generator with two stator three-phase windings. These windings are connected by their terminals to two three-phase rectifier bridges. One-pole DC outputs of these bridges are connected to buses. Traction series-wound motors are connected via switching elements to these buses according to the number of motored axes. In parallel to electric motors, circuits consisting of isolation diodes connected in series which diodes balance resistance of and main brake resistor. Each traction electric motor is connected to DC buses of three phase rectifier bridges via two switching elements one of which is connected to armature winding and positive bus of rectifier bridges, and another element bypassed in nonconductive direction by diode is connected to negative bus of three-phase rectifier bridges and to switching elements of traction electric motor excitation winding. The excitation winding of traction electric motor is bypassed by diode connected in nonconductive direction. In parallel to excitation winding circuit, another semiconductor switching element is included. This element is bypassed by diode connected in nonconductive direction.
EFFECT: simplification and cheapening of traction electric drive, improvement of its traction properties.
