FIELD: molding engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention is directed to a method for imparting a shape to heat-softened sheets and to a pattern with flexible surface to realize this method. In particular, a lower profiling pattern is provided, which comes into contact with and presses central and peripheral regions of the sheet surface to profiling surface of upper pattern and which is not limited by single shape or outline. Pattern comprises a couple of spaced out elongated deformable members (110, 114), between which flexible strip members (102-105) are disposed at some distance from each other. Axes of deformable members are arranged in parallel to each other and transversally to strip members. Deformable members are mounted on a stand (52) with the aid of rigid elements (142, 144, 146, 148), between which elements (172, 191, 200, 210) are located serving for applying force to central region of deformable members in order to change outline or shape of strip members.
EFFECT: improved structure of apparatus.
