FIELD: medicine; nursing care.

SUBSTANCE: functional bed has pair of sidepieces, big frame and small frame with support planes for body. Frames are disposed between sidepieces. Support planes for body re mounted onto hinges inside smaller frame. Bigger frame is cinematically connected with sidepieces by means of a pair of hinges and it s provided with turn restrictors. Smaller frame is disposed onto hinges inside bigger frame and it is provided with aids for restricting turn in horizontal and vertical positions and with aids for fixing support planes for body. Bigger frame is capable of turning about horizontal axis of hinges and it is provided with aids for keeping body at turn.

EFFECT: improved quality; reduced labor-intensiveness of nursing; reduced risk of traumatism.
