SUBSTANCE: functional bed relates to medicine, namely to beds designed to improve and facilitate the care of the body of immobile patients when they need to be turned over, and includes a pair of sidewalls, rigidly connected to them a supporting frame and pivotally with it - a main frame with sections, a guard made in the form of a bar and a horizontal bar, connected together by rods, drive, detachable beam with drive holders, additional support and posts with fixed rotary supports, guard rails and support elements for a removable beam with drive holders, which also includes a horizontal shaft with rotation supports, flexible links, one end rigidly connected to a horizontal shaft, and a self-locking transmission with an input shaft perpendicular to the horizontal shaft and a handle with the possibility of connecting to its ends of the input shaft. In this case one flexible connection has the ability to connect its free end to the main frame and separate sections, and the other - to the bar at the centre of gravity of the fence, and additional support is made in the form of a retractable bracket installed at the bottom of the functional bed.

EFFECT: combination of the above characteristics and their interrelation provides a simplification of the design of the functional bed with simultaneous expansion of its functional capabilities.
