FIELD: industrial acoustics.
SUBSTANCE: silencer comprises housing provided with hinged lid and filled with a sound-absorbing material set in the protecting shell. The housing is made of two concentric three-dimensional surface of regular polyhedrons. One of the surfaces is outer surface and is perforated, the other one is the inner surface and is solid. The sound-absorbing material is rolled with the acoustically transparent material and is interposed between the surfaces that are interconnected through at least two bushings.
EFFECT: improved silencing at intermediate and high frequencies.
