FIELD: technology for evaluating quality of welded connections.
SUBSTANCE: in accordance to the invention, radiographic images are browsed, sensitivity of control is recorded on basis of image of sensitivity standard and sizes of defect images are measured, while concrete type of sensitivity standard is selected, types of probable defects are predicted for welded connection being controlled, values of parameters of predicted defects are quantitatively estimated relatively to minimal detected element of sensitivity standard, in case of which values defects are not detectable by radiography at given sensitivity of control, after that selection of non-destructive control methods is performed to supplement radiography.
EFFECT: increased precision and increased reliability when evaluating quality of welded connections.
