FIELD: agricultural engineering, in particular, equipment for cutting of rolled feed bales.

SUBSTANCE: cutting apparatus has frame with brackets for attachment to loader boom, casing, and cutter with drive. Casing is made in the form of hollow bar rigidly connected to frame. Cutter is positioned within hollow casing on connecting rods, with cutter blade being oriented upward. Cutter drive is defined by system consisting of tie-rod and balance-beam connecting cutter to hydraulic vibrator fixed to frame. Hollow casing allows cutter to be concealed during transportation of feed roll by insertion of hollow casing into center of roll. In order to cut feed roll, reciprocating motion is imparted to cutter with the result that cutter is withdrawn from casing to cut layers of material hanging on casing.

EFFECT: increased efficiency by reduced number of operations for transportation and cutting of feed roll.
