FIELD: petroleum processing.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to heat petroleum residues in visbreaking, thermal cracking, and delayed coking. When installation is started, furnace coil supplies raw composition, e.g. goudron mixed with diluents, turbulizer. Stream 15 at 280-320°C from convection chamber 3 enters coils 7 of radiation chamber 6 and, as stream moves within coils, its temperature rises to 420-430°C. Radiant coils 7 are made from vertical tubes with helical end sectors 8 preventing formation of liquid plug during upwards movement.
EFFECT: prevented destruction of furnace elements from hydraulic shocks.
