FIELD: non-ferrous metallurgy, namely busbar of powerful aluminum cells arranged crosswise in housing.
SUBSTANCE: busbar of powerful aluminum cells arranged crosswise in housing includes collecting buses with cathode outputs at inlet and outlet sides of cathode casing and anode struts. Electric current feed from inlet side is realized through buses under bottom of cell to anode struts arranged at inlet side of next cell. Along ends of cell compensation buses are laid; electric current direction in compensation buses coincides with electric current direction in cell. Compensation buses are arranged by inclination angle relative to axis of cell or in vertical and(or) horizontal plane. If compensation buses are arranged in vertical plane they raise from inlet lengthwise side to outlet side. If compensation buses are arranged in horizontal plane they are placed nearer to end of outlet side of cell than to end of inlet side.
EFFECT: improved efficiency of powerful aluminum cells at high degree of compensation of electromagnetic forces in melt due to redistribution of magnetic field in it.
