FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to basbar of electrolysers for aluminium obtainment with their lateral arrangement in electrolysis housing. Basbar of series-connected electrolysers includes two standpipes located near inlet butt end of electrolyser cathode shell, two cathode collecting buses on each lateral side of electrolyser. Current from the part of electrolyser cathode rods arranged from the side of inlet butt end of cathode shell is transmitted to standpipes through cathode bars. Cathode bars transmitting current from electrolyser cathode rods from the side of outlet butt end of electrolyser cathode shell are arranged along longitudinal axis of electrolyser to the middle of the following electrolyser, then along cross axis of electrolyser under the bottom of electrolyser, and then they are routed under electrolyser bottom along longitudinal axis of electrolyser and are connected with standpipes located in inlet butt end of cathode shell of the following electrolyser.
EFFECT: providing optimum compensation of magnetic field, and due to this achieving high magnetohydrodynamic resistance of electrolyser and higher efficiency of electrolysers during operation on minor pole distances.
