FIELD: instrument industry.

SUBSTANCE: pickup cap comprises piping housing converging from the proximal end to the distal end. The proximal end forms an opening for permitting introducing the distal end of the thermometer into it. The distal end of the housing is predominantly covered with a film and has a group of end ribs arranged over its inner circumference. The end ribs comprise longitudinal part extended along the piping housing in the direction to the proximal end and transverse part that is position transversely to the piping housing and projecting over the surface of the film for permitting clamping the distal end of the thermometer. The distal end of the thermometer is positioned at a distance from the film which depends on the thickness of the transverse part.

EFFECT: simplified design and enhanced convenience.
