FIELD: mechanical engineering; diesel engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of supply of gas-diesel engines. According to invention, total amount of fuel gas to be delivered into cylinders is divided into two parts. One part in amount of 20% to 50% is delivered through intake branch pipe into supercharging compressor, and further on, in form of gas-air mixture, into supercharging receiver, and through intake valve, into operating cylinders. Remaining part of fuel gas in amount from 80% to 50% is directed through gas manifold and gas valves directly into cylinders of gas-diesel engine. Part of gas delivered through gas valves into operating cylinders is preliminarily heated in heater by heat of exhaust gases of gas-diesel engine to temperature of 150-250°C.
EFFECT: increased economy of working process of gas-diesel engines, increased power output and pickup of engines, prevention of explosion of gas-air mixture in air receiver, reduced contamination of ambient atmosphere.
