FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: engine with external supply of heat contains stator, sealing members, shaped rotor installed inside stator to form two variable-volume chambers interconnected by bypass pipeline, heater, regenerative heat exchanger and operating shaft with gear. Toothed rim installed on inner surface of rotor engages with gear installed on operating shaft, and axis of rotation of operating shaft is displaced relative to center of rotor. Operating shaft is furnished at least with one roller engaging with inner surface of rotor. Outer profile of rotor is formed by three similar arcs of larger sectors and three similar arcs of smaller sectors. Arcs of smaller sectors are arranged between arcs of larger sectors and are mated with the latter. Radii of larger sectors include sides of equilateral triangle inside which circle is inscribed with center coinciding with center of rotor and project beyond the limits of equilateral triangle. Radii of smaller sectors meet in vertices of equilateral triangle and coincide with parts of radii of larger adjacent sectors projecting beyond the limits of equilateral triangle. Radius of larger sector is greater than radius of smaller sector by value of side of equilateral triangle. Profile of inner surface of stator is formed by oval. Inner surface of rotor engaging with roller of operating shaft and reference surface of toothed rim are equidistant relative to outer profile of rotor, and sealing members are arranged on stator.
EFFECT: improved efficiency of engine in operation owing to reduction of friction forces between rotor and stator.
