FIELD: invention refers to the mode and the arrangement for detecting the orientation of a component.
SUBSTANCE: mode and the arrangement are proposed for identification of the upper surface and the lower surface of the component having asymmetrical upper and lower external forms. The components are fulfilled for example in the shape of the components of a disc, a cylindrical or a ring form, more concretely of the details of an engine having orientation such as piston rings. Particularly the mode and the arrangement are assigned for identification of the orientation of the article, whose upper and lower surfaces one can identify visually with great labor. The component in the form of a disc, a cylinder or a ring having asymmetrical the upper and the lower external forms is placed on a control surface having a control block, at that the external periphery part of the component on the control surface is put into contact with the control block and identification of the upper and the lower surfaces of the component is ensured in the system included in the production line on the basis of the gap formed between the external periphery part of the component and the control block using a lighting arrangement-a source of light and a detecting chamber installed opposite one to each other relatively to the control block.
EFFECT: technical result is in development of a simple and a reliable mode of detecting orientation and an arrangement for identification of the upper and the lower surfaces of a component without necessity of expenditures during a long period of time.
