FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method involves taking blood sample, irradiating a portion of the sample in vitro with γ-radiation, incubating irradiated and non-irradiated sample portions, staining DNA-components of both blood portions with DNA-specific fluorescent dye. Then, leukocyte number Li in irradiated blood sample portion and leukocyte number Ln in non-irradiated blood sample portion is determined and their ratio Li/Ln is calculated. Next to it, all DNA-containing blood components are stained and IDi as DNA quantity in all DNA-containing blood components per one leukocyte of irradiated blood sample portion and IDn as DNA quantity in all DNA-containing blood components per one leukocyte of non-irradiated blood sample portion are determined and their ratio IDi/IDn and Li/Ln are calculated. Both ratio values being greater than 1.0, organ-saving treatment is considered to be indicated.

EFFECT: high reliability of the method.
