SUBSTANCE: method involves taking blood sample, irradiating a portion of the sample in vitro with γ-radiation, incubating irradiated and non-irradiated sample portions, staining DNA-components of both blood portions with DNA-specific fluorescent dye. Then, leukocyte number L_i in irradiated blood sample portion and leukocyte number L_n in non-irradiated blood sample portion is determined and their ratio L_i/L_n is calculated. Next to it, all DNA-containing blood components are stained and ID_i as DNA quantity in all DNA-containing blood components per one leukocyte of irradiated blood sample portion and ID_n as DNA quantity in all DNA-containing blood components per one leukocyte of non-irradiated blood sample portion are determined and their ratio ID_i/ID_n and L_i/L_n are calculated. Both ratio values being greater than 1.0, organ-saving treatment is considered to be indicated.

EFFECT: high reliability of the method.
