FIELD: radar systems for measurement of azimuth with the aid of a surveillance radar, applicable in equipment for primary processing of radar information.

SUBSTANCE: the azimuth of the radar all-round view aerial relative to the "North" signal is measured, the azimuth of the start pulse is read out corresponding to the emitted sounding pulse, the azimuth of the start pulse is specified by assignment of the azimuth of the nearest "scale azimuth pulse" to it, the specified azimuth of the start pulse is delayed by or period of sounding at the rated value of the number of pulses in the packet equal to 2n+1, the specified delayed azimuth of the start pulse is assigned to all the radar targets for which the "Center of the packet of the detected radar target" signal has been generated in the given sounding. A modification of the device for realization of the offered method is offered.

EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of measurement of the azimuth of radar targets.
