FIELD: veterinary obstetrics.
SUBSTANCE: cows and heifers should be subjected to clinical inspection about 20-30 d before calving. In case of detecting the signs of gestosis one should predict omphalitis in calves born from those cows. The innovation enables to predict omphalitis in perinatal period.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of prediction.
