DEVICE TO CLEAN AND RECOVER EXHAUST FLUE GAS HEAT Russian patent published in 2008 - IPC B01D47/04 

FIELD: fuel combustion boilers, particularly municipal boilers for services and industrial enterprises for exhaust gas cleaning and heat recovery.

SUBSTANCE: device comprises settling chamber installed downstream of boiler and provided with inlet and outlet gas conduits. Upper settling chamber part has vertical partition with toothed edge arranged so that flue gas flowing from inlet gas conduit into outlet conduit through water layer passes over the toothed edge. Lower chamber part is filled with water mixed with foam generator up to lower toothed partition edge. Side chamber wall has elongated controllable orifice located at the level of lower toothed partition edge. The orifice is adapted to maintain necessary water level in the chamber. Additional vessel with circulation pump is installed below elongated orifice. Circulation pump supplies water to sprayer arranged at inlet gas conduit. Located in lower chamber is heat-dissipation pipeline system filled with circulating water to recover heat of water heated in settling chamber.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of flue gas cleaning of solid ash particles, possibility to heat water by flue gas heat.
