SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for the disproportionation reaction of alkylaromatic hydrocarbons. Invention describes a method for the disproportionation reaction of isopropylbenzene wherein the process is carried out in the presence of a catalyst of the micro-mesoporous structure and comprising part of micropores from 0.03 to 0.90, and parts of mesopores from 0.97 to 0.10. Catalyst comprises microporous crystalline silicates of zeolite structure comprising the composition of anionic carcass T2O3 x (10-1000)SiO2 wherein T means elements chosen from group consisting of p-elements of III group of d-elements of IV-VIII group of periodic system elements, or their mixtures. Invention provides expanding assortment of technical agents used for realization of the disproportionaton reaction, high conversion of isopropylbenzene with the low content of o-isomer of diisopropylbenzene.
