FIELD: engineering of sound reproduction equipment for professional and home use.
SUBSTANCE: claimed acoustic system contains a case with high frequency and low frequency loudspeakers mounted on its face panel, which panel is inclined towards the back panel of the case and displaced towards the inside relatively to the plane of its frontal vertical window. along its perimeter the face panel is rigidly connected to case walls. The high frequency loudspeaker is provided with a horn, formed by a part of inclined face panel, two sides and top shield. The last three parts are rigidly connected to the face panel, to each other and to adjacent sections of perimeter of plane of frontal vertical window of the case. The sides may be made flat, ensuring linear characteristic of horn expansion, or curvilinear, ensuring exponential characteristic of horn expansion. The angle of inclination of face panel α is selected within range between 7° and 35°. As a result, sound quality is improved and vibration of face panel is reduced.
EFFECT: substantially improved phase matching of high frequency and low frequency radiations, reduced quality of resonance between front and back panels, matching of high frequency radiation with surrounding environment in terms of acoustic load.
