ULTRASONIC DIAGNOSIS METHOD FOR DETECTING VALVE INSUFFICIENCY OF PERFORATED LOWER EXTREMITY VEINS Russian patent published in 2008 - IPC A61B8/06

Abstract RU 2321351 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method involves applying ultrasonic perforated crural vein scanning in vertical position. Blood circulation parameters are estimated in suprafascial segment of perforated vein first in relaxed crural muscle diastole and then in systole in maximum crural muscle contraction phase. When recording blue uniform blood circulation signal in diastole phase with anterograde low frequency dopplerographic curve and red uniform blood circulation signal accompanied by retrograde high frequency dopplerographic curve of duration not longer than 1 s in systole phase with following blood circulation arrest till the systole end, perforated crural vein valve consistency is to be diagnosed. When recording blue uniform blood circulation signal with anterograde low frequency dopplerographic curve in diastole phase and red uniform blood circulation signal accompanied by retrograde low frequency dopplerographic curve of duration longer than 1 s in systole phase with following blood circulation arrest till the systole end, perforated crural vein valve inconsistency is to be diagnosed. When recording non-uniform color spectrum blood circulation signal in diastole with anterograde low frequency dopplerographic curve or red uniform blood circulation signal accompanied by retrograde high frequency dopplerographic curve in systole phase combined perforated crural vein valve inconsistency and stem deep veins inconsistency is to be diagnosed.

EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of diagnostic study.
