FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves applying ultrasonic scanning at the level of superior and median one third of crus strictly in perpendicular to its posterior surface. Qualitative ultrasonic parameters are determined as degree of muscles, fasciae, fibrous fat layers differential visualization, musculus soleus and musculus gastrocnemius echogenicity degree, muscle tissue and subcutaneous fat uniformity degree. Heterogeneity being discovered, intratissular inclusion types are determined and quantitative ultrasonic parameters like subcutaneous fat layer thickness, the number of perimysial septa per 1 cm² of musculus soleus and musculus gastrocnemius cross-section area.
