METHOD FOR PREDICTING THE STAGES OF METABOLIC SYNDROME Russian patent published in 2008 - IPC A61B10/00

Abstract RU 2321354 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with predicting structural-functional alterations of myocardium and other visceral body systems in the dynamics of metabolic syndrome development. It is necessary to detect its classical constituents. Additionally, one should detect glycosylated hemoglobin (HBAic) due to low-pressure cation exchange chromatography upon automatic analyzer. At availability of clinical and/or laboratory constituents of metabolic syndrome, not more than 2, and normal level of glycosylated hemoglobin one should diagnose metabolic syndrome stage I. At combination of clinico-laboratory signs of metabolic syndrome and the level of glycosyalted hemoglobin being above 6.1% one should diagnose metabolic syndrome stage II along with pathogenetically valuable disorder of insulin-receptor binding, compensatory hyperinsulinemia. In case of 3 and more clinico-laboratory constituents of metabolic syndrome, according to WHO criteria< at type II diabetes one should diagnose metabolic syndrome stage III. The innovation enables to diagnose pathological alterations in a patient's body earlier - just at incomplete metabolic syndrome.

EFFECT: higher accuracy of diagnostics.
