FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method is based on pattern recognition and involves scanning both palms of a patient, processing the obtained data and detection of a range of parametres of the dermatoglyphic pattern. Data are processed, which characterise general and total ridge counts, whorls - ridge counts and type of pattern on each finger, palmar patterns - palmar ridge count, presence and arrangement of palmar triradii, direction of main palmar lines A, B, C, D, value of atd angle, nature of patterns on the thenar, hypothenar and in interfinger fields. The detected features in the dermatoglyphic pattern allow for diagnosing the patient with sugar diabetes type 1 or 2.
EFFECT: method allows for differential diagnosis of sugar diabetes type 1 and 2 based on marked features in the dermatoglyphic pattern of the patient.
